Managing time...

"Until you value yourself, you will not value your time.
Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it."

Time management is a set of principles, practices and skills that help us use our time effectively and make the most of it. It is important for our personal life and career success as it helps in increasing our productivity, let us stay cool and thus overcome stress. Rather it has become an essential part for the fulfillment of our cherished dreams. It is the basic requirement for the targeted performance and achievement which is the per-requisite for the success.

It is natural to avoid things that are unpleasant, tiring, difficult, or anxiety provoking.
Although it is natural and understandable, procrastination is the greatest threat faced by most people. It poisons productivity and progress. Rather it is a disease that slowly and steadily disturbs our schedule, delays our achievements and thus become the silent silent killer of success. Despite this we rarely find a person who never put over tasks off. Different people procrastinate to different degrees but continuous procrastination may result in stress and severe loss of personal productivity. They just keep murmuring I'll do it tomorrow or I'll work over it when certain task happens or so on...

It can also steal health, honesty(lying about how much work had been accomplished) and our confidence

Stages of procrastination:
Start:- this time I will complete very soon [but fail to start] this is an easy task...aah I will make an early start [false security] amm not feeling like doing it now...nah I should take a short break [laziness] I am busy now...so much work has been done since morning [excuses] until now I must have done something over it [start of anxiety] I could have done a much until now [guilty] I am having so much burden...completing it was not in my hand [a bit satisfaction]what others will think of me [shame] what boss will say[fear] may be the work can be completed even now...I will not sleep today [denial] Oh dead line is over[crises] what is wrong with me[having stress and drop of self esteem] today onwards I will not procrastinate again [repeat].

Defense against procrastination:

-Just do it now:
Keep in mind the Basic Physics Theorem:
NEWTON'S LAW
A BODY AT REST STAYS AT REST,
A BODY IN MOTION STAYS IN MOTION
So…GET STARTED NOW!

-Segment the task: Entire job may seem impossible, but smaller segments can be more easier and manageable

-Segment the task reasonably within the given time frame: We must allot sufficient time for each step. Do not fool by believing I can do more than it is possible.

-Have time for relaxation also.
-Monitor progress on the small steps.
-Reward your self and get motivated: always set rewards for meeting tasks. Plan some pleasurable activity only after completing task rather than doing those activities as a way of avoiding work.
-Set goals: set short term and long term goals and set them realistically because Setting goals too high is setting up to fail.

So...The time for action is now. It's never too late to do something.
